
Salon Policies
At Local Roots, we love our clients and our goal is for every guest to be 100% satisfied with their experience. To ensure fairness, consistency, and the highest quality service, we kindly ask that all clients review our salon policies below.
1. Appointments & Scheduling
• We encourage appointments to be booked in advance to secure your preferred stylist and time.
• Same-day appointments are welcome based on availability.
2. Cancellations & No-Shows
• We require 24 hours’ notice for any cancellation or rescheduling.
• Appointments canceled with less than 24 hours’ notice may be subject to a 50% service fee.
• No-shows will be charged 100% of the scheduled service.
3. Deposits & Payments
• Certain services (e.g., color corrections, extensions, keratin treatments) require a non-refundable deposit at the time of booking. This deposit will be applied to the final cost of services.
• We gladly accept cash, Visa, and MasterCard. Debit cards are also accepted.
• We do not accept personal checks.
• Gratuity may not be added to credit or debit cards; cash or direct tips are appreciated.
4. Service Satisfaction & Refunds
• Your satisfaction is our priority. If you are unhappy with your service, please notify us within 7 days so we can make it right.
• Services already received cannot be refunded. Adjustments may be offered at management’s discretion.
5. Product Returns & Exchanges
• Products may be returned or exchanged within 7 days of purchase if unused, unopened, and in original condition/packaging.
• Opened products are non-refundable but may be exchanged for store credit at the discretion of management.
• No refunds are provided for gift card orders.
• Gift cards are not exchangeable and expire one year from purchase date.
6. Children & Guests
• Children are welcome if they are receiving a service. For safety reasons, children not receiving services must remain supervised at all times.
• Space is limited—please avoid bringing additional guests to your appointment unless necessary.
7. Health & Safety
• If you are feeling unwell, we kindly ask that you reschedule your appointment.
• We follow strict sanitation protocols to ensure the safety of our guests and staff.
8. Personal Belongings
• We are not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged personal items. Please keep valuables with you during your visit.
9. Respect & Professionalism
• Local Roots Hair Salon is a place of kindness and respect. Any abusive, aggressive, or inappropriate behavior will not be tolerated.
